Do you have a hard time focusing on the tasks you've set up for yourself?

Wondering if maybe you're losing your mind (or at least the memory part)? Maybe you are but then again...
Maybe you're pushing too hard.
Just as there's no sense in trying to push the tide a direction it doesn't want to go, there's no sense in trying to force through something that clearly isn't working for you.
A great first step is to stop the madness. Just stop what you're doing - especially if you feel that you CAN'T because this is precisely when your effectiveness is at its lowest and your craziness (and stress level) is at its highest. Step away and revive yourself with a walk, a cup of tea, a healthy snack, a shower or whatever works best for you.
After taking care of yourself, you'll be better equipped to step back in and get back to work and you'll find yourself much more effective. Sometimes, all you need to get back on track is to simply stop pushing yourself so hard.
Other times, it takes more because there's a different undercurrent - something else is at work. Perhaps you've ventured into something you're just not that interested in. If you're working on a project or goal and you can't seem to keep up or stay on top of things (when normally you have no trouble with such things), this is you. The right answer is still to just stop... only really stop.
In other words be a 'QUITTER'.
That may sound risky, stupid, embarrassing, etc... and it may stir up some really crazy fear and emotion because it goes against our conditioning but here's what you can know for sure. If you force yourself to continue on, it will not be your best work, it will not turn out as you expect and you'll likely regret it. So, why set yourself up for that?
We are all presented with opportunities and challenges all the time and there are important lessons to be learned along the way through them. Some of those lessons are in the knowing what's right for us and when we're better off to pass and how to withdraw from situations that do not fully support who we are.
